So, I “noted” about this, but I also just want to say… It’s REALLY important for Christie to be “piercing the veil” on this one.
Because the veil is a veil of bullshit. Christie’s right, it’s not like Trump was ever going to adhere to the pledge. Whether Trump ran a sore-loser campaign or not, the plain fact is that he doesn’t give a shit about the pledge itself.
The worst part of the pledge is not anything related to Trump, it’s the fact that it represents a further, pointless, needless, abhorrent consolidation of the two-party system. Make no mistake about it, this pledge represents Ronna Romney McDaniel enforcing the two-party logic on her party. She’s not doing it because she likes Trump or what he’s done to her family; she’s doing it because she’s terrified that her party might collapse around her.
I agree about Christie. It is important that someone call Trump out on his lies and misdeeds. I lived in NJ during Christie's governorship; he's a snotty jerk who had budget crises and his answer was, at one time, to do away with the Public Advocate office. He interfered with education, the reforms having now been assessed and found to have made no difference. He also withheld funds for some districts. Sound familiar? He is fine as a bullhorn, but not as President. I want better.
