Spot on sir, one thing I’ve learned is you can never keep a shitty man down. I’ve heard that he most likely signed a non compete agreement, so he may not be able to slink over to newsmax, etc. That being said the only thing that could help him here is Biden administration rules regarding non compete agreements, irony?

If you would have asked about tucker running for 2020 I would have called you crazy. But after trumps second run and all the shit he has spewed, tucker running doesn’t seem out of control. DeSantis may have the grievance policies on lock, but he doesn’t seem to be a very inspiring leader, like he would crumple in a debate with a wet noodle. Tucker on the other hand would be able to give it back to trump. Hopefully he runs and we get some mutually assured destruction. That or the reconcile and we get a “unity” ticket with trump and tucker.

Ultimately, I don't think Tucker runs. 30% probability, maybe.

Trump is the golden goose for his career. As soon as he takes Trump down, he has to chart his own path, instead of just commentating on the paths others chart.

Admittedly, he has to chart his own business path too, but that path is based ON commentating, so it's more his wheelhouse. Tucker's got his Daily Caller already, he can always go join Beck on The Blaze or take over an existing vehicle and mold his empire to suit his wishes.

But being a real politician? Like many of us political hobbyists, the core reason Tucker went into media is because he wanted political power without having to deal with other politicians. It's the fantasy of governing, of imagining your own opinions made law, which draws him, not the reality of it. And while he's no genius, he's smart enough to know that the reality of governing means living a life like Kevin McCarthy's - dealing with a bunch of people you can't actually control, who refuse to take orders, and do things that absolutely drive you nuts.

The only reason I even give it as high as 30% is that Tucker's ego is big enough, he might just do it anyways despite all the reasons he'd hate it. After all, that's why Trump ran -- he never actually intended to be president, and hated actually doing it; he was just such a big narcissist that he couldn't resist the allure of "playing president on TV".

I don’t think they ever reconcile. The more likely “unity ticket” is Carlson/DeSantis.

Didn’t even think about that, desantis provides the policy, Carlson the anger. But could tucker stand to be VP?

No, I'm talking DeSantis as VP. The VP always comes after the "/" in a ticket.

I know that smart ass, but you really think a sitting governor would be a VP to talking head from fox? I guess weird things have happened

I think that the dynamics point that direction, even if RDS wouldn't like it. He's painted himself into a corner in Florida, and needs to keep his national platform. He's also young enough that he'll only be 53 after two terms of Tucker, and can easily run on his own.
